I’m Dusty—writer, photographer, and board president at Xerocraft, a nonprofit makerspace in downtown Tucson.
Most of what I do here is unpaid, local, and rooted in relationship. I run several projects that weave together land, community, and creative expression. You’ll find links to them below.
Brawley Wash Wildlands
brawleywash.com
I spend a lot of time in the lowlands of the Brawley Wash—picking up trash, observing the cycles of life and decay, and listening. This project is about tending relationship with place and inviting others to notice, too.
It’s Dusty in Tucson
itsdustyintucson.substack.com
Personal essays, local commentary, and the occasional love letter to this wild city. I write about art, land, leadership, and the complicated beauty of being human in southern Arizona.
Xerocraft, Inc.
xerocraft.org
I serve as board president at Xerocraft, Tucson’s nonprofit makerspace. It’s a scrappy, skill-sharing community where people come to learn, build, repair, and grow—together.
Tucson Murals Project (cont.)
tucsonmurals.com
A slow photo essay documenting Tucson’s walls, artists, and visual storytellers. Part archive, part love letter to public art in the desert.
Brawley Wash Food Network
I raise money to buy groceries for people who need them—quickly, directly, and with dignity. It’s small-scale, community-rooted food support with no red tape.
These projects evolve with the seasons and the people around me. Feel free to explore, follow, or get in touch if something calls to you.
